How can I get my IM window to display my screen name ?
I recently upgraded to Messenger 8. Now, whenever i IM anybody using one of my alternate profiles my IM window displays my full name i openned the account with and not my screen name. How can i change that ?
Go to "Messenger" > "My Contact Details".
Yahoo! Messenger first looks at the "Nickname" field to see if a name is entered. If a nickname is entered, the nickname will be displayed in your Messenger List. If a nickname is not entered, Yahoo! Messenger then looks at the "First/Last Name" fields. If there are no entries in any of these fields, the regular Yahoo! ID will be displayed in your Messenger List.
